Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, and using CheckMe (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree to these terms, please don’t use the App.
License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use CheckMe for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works
- Distribute, sell, or transfer the App to others
- Remove any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
User Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device
- You are responsible for all activities that occur through your use of the App
- You will use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws
Health Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: CheckMe is a tool to help you make more informed choices about ingredients. It is NOT medical advice.
- Analysis results are based on ingredient science and your health profile
- Results do not replace professional medical advice from licensed healthcare providers
- Always consult a doctor, dietitian, or dermatologist for health decisions
- If you have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately
- We are not liable for any health-related decisions made based on the App’s analysis
Accuracy and Limitations
While we strive for accuracy, we don’t guarantee that:
- All ingredient names or quantities will be recognized correctly (OCR limitations)
- Analysis is 100% complete or error-free
- The App will always be available or error-free
- All ingredients will be correctly classified for your profile
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Errors or inaccuracies in ingredient analysis
- Decisions made based on the App’s analysis
- Interruptions or unavailability of the App
In no case shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).
No Warranty
The App is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including:
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Merchantability
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy of results
Changes to the App
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the App at any time
- Change these Terms of Use at any time
- Remove features or functionality
Changes take effect when posted to this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Your Data
You acknowledge that:
- All your data (scans, analysis, profile) is stored locally on your device
- You are responsible for backing up your device
- We are not responsible for data loss due to device damage or deletion
- Deleting the App will permanently delete all associated data on your device
Prohibited Uses
You may not use the App to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Harm, threaten, or defame anyone
- Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
- Violate anyone’s intellectual property rights
- Impersonate or misrepresent your identity
Third-Party Content
The App may contain references to third-party services (e.g., links to Apple Settings). We are not responsible for:
- Third-party websites or services
- Their content, accuracy, or practices
- Your interactions with them
Visit their sites directly for their terms and policies.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, and functionality in CheckMe are the exclusive property of CheckMe and its creators. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any content without permission.
Termination
We reserve the right to release updates that modify or remove features and functionality of the App. If you violate these Terms, we may take steps to limit your use through future app updates.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada & the United States, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Canada & the United States.

Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be removed and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
